Sample Daily Routine Template

A flexible day-structure template for neurodiverse teens and adults — pick two focus points to start.

Ages 12–18Parents

Summary. A simple Time / Activity / Intention table to help neurodiverse individuals build sustainable daily structure — emphasizing transitions, energy reset, and emotional decompression.

Daily Routine

  • Wake up & hygiene (15 min) — transition from rest to readiness.
  • Light activity / stretch (15 min) — physical activation and focus.
  • Start work / commute (50 min) — brief planning check-in for mental organization.
  • Midday — 10-minute recharge (walk, hydration) for energy reset.
  • Afternoon — prioritize tasks requiring social interaction during natural energy peak.
  • After work — decompress (music, journaling, short walk, possibly shower).
  • Evening — prepare tomorrow's essentials to reduce morning decision load.
  • Night (bedtime window) — screen-free unwind, dim lights to signal rest.

How to Use

Pick two focus points only (for example, "Morning start" and "Midday break") rather than trying to master all at once. Build sustainable rhythm one anchor at a time.
